In three weeks, there have been three deadly mid-air collisions between commercial operators and general aviation aircraft. It is an unprecedented series of avoidable accidents in a year where the FAA mandated technology that should make this less common.

The accident was between a GA aircraft (PA-12) piloted by the legislator and de Havilland Beaver (N4982U) that was operated by a scenic tour operation.

This accident is strikingly similar to the Coeur d’Alene accident from earlier in July which killed 8 people.

Aviation Law Group represents victims of the last major seaplane mid-air collision in Alaska which killed 6 and injured 10. ADS-B technology, airspace regulations, and a pilot’s navigational responsibility all come into play in these accidents.
